Welcome. This is a practice I created for my work in building identities, interfaces and instruments made for inner life.

Metaphysics is the study of the hidden layers of reality: existence, identity, time and causation. Those hidden layers aren’t only cosmic, they’re personal. Your identity, your patterns of thought, your relationship to time and cause, that’s where metaphysics actually lives. Spirituality, philosophy and psychology all approach this territory, each from their own angle. What I do is work across all three, using systems theory as the connective tissue.

In this practice, I focus primarily on entangled symbolic systems, what happens when you’re trapped in information recursion that persistent loop of thought that doesn’t resolve, which most people simply call rumination and how divination artifacts can help bridge the gap between your inner truth and external reality. I connect the ancient, things like the I-Ching and cosmograms, with the emergent, including AGI, by treating them as the same kind of problem: how do you make sense of a system you’re inside of?

I build from the belief that systems, self and spirit are one.

Why a design principle?

In cybernetics, a system becomes operational when it can do three things: receive input, process it, and feed output back into itself. Two produces a reaction. Three produces a loop, and a loop is what makes something run rather than just respond.

This is the basis of Stafford Beer’s Viable System Model and Heinz von Foerster’s second-order cybernetics: operational viability requires recursive self-reference, which needs at least three levels to close.

But recursive closure is hard for humans.

My mission with this agency is to make these invisible identity architectures^KM operable, using the principle of Recursive Closure between Systems, Self and Spirit (SSS)^KM.

This work began from decades of personal practice. I see metaphysics as an art first, then offered as a practice. In this sense, I’ve forced the choice of egg, and I’ll report through field notes on these consequences as I go.

What is Metaphysics academically?

• The formal study of existence and the structures underlying reality
• The analysis of identity, causation, time, and possibility through logic and language
• A discipline focused on precision and internal consistency, constrained by what can be clearly defined and argued
• Foundational yet contested, grounding knowledge while often resisting empirical resolution
• Largely abstracted from lived experience, operating as a conceptual rather than applied system

In academia, metaphysics survives as a controlled environment for thinking about reality, rigorous, precise, and intentionally removed from direct use. I started there, and then I couldn’t stay.

Civilizationally, metaphysics is universal.

It appears across all human cultures as systems for interpreting reality, whether through myth, religion, symbolic logic, or proto-scientific models. Indian and Chinese traditions are among the most continuous and systematized expressions of this, but they sit alongside other lineages such as Greek philosophy, Abrahamic theology, African cosmologies, indigenous knowledge systems, each attempting to map the relationship between existence, meaning, and order.

At its core, metaphysics is not confined to tradition. It is an unavoidable activity of consciousness: the construction of symbolic systems to navigate reality under conditions of uncertainty. This is what I keep returning to.

The Keeper’s Mark (KM) is not a trademark. It exists to keep the original authorship visible, a sign of stewardship rather than ownership. The goal is to show origin instead of ownership.

The junk economy and why information isn’t meaning.

Markets mature in a predictable arc. Early markets create value by making better things. Mature ones compete on distribution. Late-stage markets which is where we are compete on attention capture, identity signalling, and synthetic differentiation. The result is an entropy problem: more volume, less signal per unit. More information, less meaning.

Claude Shannon, who laid the theoretical foundations for digital information systems, defined information as distinct from meaning. Information reduces uncertainty. But we lose something under continuous exposure to pre-packaged meaning we stop being able to synthesize truly. The Shannon Loop surrender, collect, interpret, accept requires silence in the system. Content fills that silence before you can use it.

Recursive closure and why it matters now.

In cybernetics, a system becomes viable when it can receive input, process it, and feed output back into itself. Two nodes produce a reaction. Three produce a loop and a loop is what makes something run rather than just respond. This is the basis of Stafford Beer’s Viable System Model: operational viability requires recursive self-reference across at least three levels.

The junk economy breaks this. It fills the return channel with noise before the loop can close. Identity gets written and rewritten so many times across platforms, profiles, roles that the original becomes irrelevant to time but critical for archival truth. This is the Ouroboros Complex: holding a trust fund with no access. Value inaccessible. Most people stay in open loops not because they aren’t trying, but because the interfaces for closing them haven’t been built yet.

MA builds those interfaces. Systems, Self and Spirit^KM is the three-node loop this practice works with. The work is to make these loops closeable and in doing so, make the invisible operable.
